We are taking every precaution possible to keep our clients, volunteers, and staff safe during the pandemic.  Please see below for details about our adapted protocols and procedures for our programs and services, as well as information about our COVID-19 assistance programs.  If you have been economically impacted by COVID-19, please call at (978) 463-8801 to see how Pettengill House may be able to assist you.

 

 

 

SOCIAL WORK APPOINTMENTS

For the safety of our clients and staff all social work appointments are being conducted remotely by phone. Our office is closed, but staff are working remotely and are available by phone/email during regular business hours (M-W, 8-4).  Please reach out to your social worker directly with any questions or concerns.  All others in need of support/information, please call the main number (978) 463-8801.

  

FOOD PANTRY OPERATIONS

Our pantry is located at 13 Lafayette Road (Rte 1), Salisbury, MA 01952.  All pantry service is now curbside.  Staff and volunteers wear masks and gloves and follow needed safety precautions at all times.

 

Pantry Days:
Tuesdays 9:00-2:00, 4:00-6:00 (By appointment only)
Wednesdays 9:00-1:00 (By appointment only, for seniors and medically compromised individuals)

Pantry Drive-up Donation Hours:
Fridays, 8:00-Noon

Most Needed Pantry Items:

  • Toiletries (shampoo/conditioner, soap, body wash, razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.)
  • Pasta & pasta sauces
  • White rice
  • Cereal (especially Cheerios)
  • Mac-N-Cheese
  • Ramen noodles
  • Tuna (especially white)
  • Canned meals (spaghetti-os, ravioli, etc.)
  • Canned soups and stews
  • Peanut butter and jelly
  • Snacks (especially granola bars, chips)
  • Gluten-free items
  • Baking mixes (cake, cookies, etc.)
  • Toilet Paper
  • Gift cards for groceries, gas, etc.

Aid 4 Amesbury is an initiative created by the City of Amesbury in partnership with The Pettengill House, Inc. to help Amesbury residents who are economically vulnerable during the COVID-19 outbreak. With many businesses having to close their doors and many in our community who have been laid off or let go from their jobs, we know people are concerned about not being able to pay bills and support their families.

NEWBURYPORT RENT ASSISTANCE

 

The purpose of the Emergency Rental Assistance Program is to provide short term relief to low and moderate income individuals and families whose incomes have been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The City of Newburyport has partnered with the Pettengill House, Inc. to administer the rental assistance program.
