Amesbury Holiday Program

Who can sign up: Amesbury residents in need of assistance for their children aged 18 and under. Participants must meet income guidelines, and are required to bring proof of Amesbury residence, income verification for each family member, birth certificates of children, gift requests w/clothing and shoe sizes.

Where to sign up: Community Action (44 Friend Street, Amesbury, MA 01913)

When to sign up: No appointment needed.

Family to Family Holiday Program (YWCA & Newburyport Youth Services)

Who can sign up: Families living in Amesbury, Newburyport, Newbury, Rowley, Salisbury & West Newbury are eligible. Your immediate family is eligible to be included in this program. This includes parents/guardians (yourself), adults and children living full time in your household.

Where to sign up: Fill out a wish list for your family online at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfwfyfYh5mx1v4n0K5oFRMc_YNkeqrOTaNfyBWQTeSCSBjt6g/viewform or fill out a paper copy. Paper copies can be given to the contact person at your agency or dropped off at Newburyport Youth Services (40 Milk Street, Newburyport, MA 01950). Please submit wish lists by November 11th.

Holiday Gift Bags for Children (Community Service of Newburyport)

Who can sign up: Residents of Newburyport, Newbury or West Newbury with children age 16 and under are eligible.

Where to sign up: Community Service of Nbpt, 35 Summer Street (the annex at St. Paul’s Church), Nbpt, MA 01950

When to sign up: No appointment needed. Monday through Wednesday, 9:00am-2:30pm, until November 15th.

The Salvation Army

Who can sign up: Residents of Amesbury, Byfield, Newbury, Newburyport, Salisbury, & West Newbury with children aged 14 and under. Participants must bring the following: Picture ID for all adults in household, supporting docs for all children, birth certificates AND health insurance cards, custody papers where relevant, proof of ALL household monthly income (SSI, SSDI, pay stubs, unemployment, alimony, child support), proof of residence (rent/mortgage AND utility bills). Application not valid if you have applied or plan to apply to another agency for assistance.

Where to sign up: Salvation Army, 40 Water Street (Fair Street entrance), Newburyport, MA 01950

When to sign up: No appointment needed. Tuesdays 10:00am-1:00pm, Wednesdays 1:00pm-3:00pm, Thursdays 2:00pm-5:30pm.

The Pettengill House, Inc.

PGH does not have a formalized holiday program. If your child has aged out of a program, or you do not have a program in the community where you live, please call (978) 463-8801 to make an appointment with a Pettengill House caseworker. Pettengill House serves the communities of Amesbury, Byfield, Groveland, Merrimac, Newbury, Newburyport, Rowley, Salisbury, and West Newbury.
