AWARDS


Deborah M. Smith, Executive Director of The Pettengill House, Inc. was recently honored by the Northeast Counselors Association (NECA).

Ms. Smith received the NECA "Special Service" Award in recognition of her "effective work with children, families and school personnel" through the Pettengill House School Link Service Intervention Program.

Northeast Counselors Association is comprised of professional counselors from the North Shore, Merrimack Valley and Southern New Hampshire.

Deborah Smith, Executive Director of The Pettengill House and Massachusetts State Representative Michael Costello at the Massachusetts Unsung Heroines Award Ceremony held at the State House, May 14, 2008.  Ms. Smith was nominated by Senator Steven Baddour for her dedication and sustained contributions to making a difference in the lives of individuals, children and families.  The program was sponsored by The Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women.
