Aid 4 Amesbury is an initiative created by the City of Amesbury in partnership with The Pettengill House, Inc. to help Amesbury residents who are economically vulnerable during the COVID-19 outbreak. With many businesses having to close their doors and many in our community who have been laid off or let go from their jobs, we know people are concerned about not being able to pay bills and support their families.

How will Aid 4 Amesbury help Amesbury residents?
Aid 4 Amesbury will focus on meeting the basic needs of families and individuals. All donations will be collected and distributed by The Pettengill House, Inc. These funds will be used to cover the costs of essential needs including, but not limited to, food, medications, rent, utilities, childcare, and other basic necessities.

How can I help?
We’re seeking donations to help those in our community who need it to support themselves and their families during this time. The number of people we’re able to help and the amount we’re able to provide depends entirely on the donations we get – so the more you give, the more help we can provide!

All donations are tax deductible, and your donation will support direct service and emergency financial assistance.  Donate below or send a check to “The Pettengill House, Inc., 21 Water Street, Suite 4A, Amesbury, MA 01913” with AID 4 AMESBURY in the memo field.

How do I apply for assistance from Aid 4 Amesbury?
If you need help during this time, please click the button below and fill out the form on the next page so we can understand your need better. Individuals / households can apply for aid once per month. The amount we’re able to give will depend on the donations we receive, and funding will be given directly to the company or vendor (landlord, utility company, etc.) and not to individuals. We reserve the right to prioritize requests based on need. If we’re unable to fulfill your request due to a lack of funds, we will let you know. No request should be considered approved until you hear from someone at The Pettengill House, Inc. All information will be kept confidential.
